Blackpool

One night after work my very lovely boyfriend came and picked me up which was surprise number one. Then he drove us to Blackpool to get doughnuts, play bingo and watch the sunset. So romantic. I LOVE surprises.

Finally Some Sun..

I have currently been working in Warrington and not had much chance to get home. I am lucky to have Cousins that live in Warrington so I went to go visit them. This summer the weather has been pretty rubbish but last Saturday the Sun came out and we decided to hit the park. Me and my Cousin relaxed whilst the children played. It was a fab day and was the perfect opportunity to take some photos. Jess loved being a little model for me, both of the girls are stunning which made photographing them so easy!

Lets hope for some more Sun. I am not ready for Autumn yet!

Celebrations

(Above: 1. Dad and My Sister, 2.Me, Nanna and My Sister, 3. My Brother and Mum )

My Dads 50th was a small gathering of family and friends. He didn't want anything big (even though we have a massive family). Everyone had a fab time and really enjoyed the afternoon/evening.

Before my Dads Birthday I was panicking over a present for him. As it was his 50th I wanted to get him something special but, I had little money. So I came up with an idea which cost me NOTHING!

I dug out all the old photo albums and with help from my Mum I managed to put them in order and pick out the special ones. I then scanned these onto the computer (massive thanks to Amy for the wine and help with the scanning!). I downloaded his favourite songs and made a video, I pulled out all the major moments in his life (Marriage, Father of four children and becoming a Grandfather) and put it all together.

This was played at the party in front of all our family and friends, it made some people tearful, brought back memories but everyone had a good laugh (mostly at bad, bad haircuts!) My dad has watched this DVD everyday since his party and that was well over a week a go now.

The best presents don't have to be expensive! Have you ever made someone a present? What was it?

Hello again... I seem to have taken an unscheduled break from Blogging. This summer has been crazy and I am so sorry about my lack of posts but I am back with more blog ideas and photos.

Afternoon Tea

Yesterday afternoon, my friend Rowena held Afternoon Tea for her Graduation Party. Unfortunatly I couldn't stay for all of it but was asked to help with decorations and baking. I especially love the plants in mugs, so easy to do, definatly going to introduce this idea to my youth club.

Congratulations Rowena! Hope you had a lovely day.

(This time next year I will be graduating...scary)

Weekend Antics

This weekend has been another hectic one. My Niece Lilly's 2nd Birthday Party & my nephew turned 1. They are no longer babies, this makes me sad. Lilly's party was so fun it was an Ugly Bug Ball theme and she loved dressing up and playing games. She was also spoilt rotten.

The rest of the weekend was spent going for meals and spending as much time with Steven as I could. The Army is turning his life upside down at the moment and its my job to take his mind off of it. I am excited for next Saturday as me and Steven are joining his Sister and Partner for the Monopoly Pub Crawl in London. Even though I live here in the UK and have passed through London many, many times I have never seen it properly. Hopefully by next weekend this will change. I will keep you posted.

How was your weekend? Do you have any exciting plans for the rest of Summer?

Date Nights & 1st Birthday Parties

This weekend has been one hectic one! It did however start Thursday night as Steven was home from work a day earlier (he is going back on guard and thats kinda sucky). So we got ready and went for a gorgeous meal at Duck Egg Blue, a cute restaurant near by. This was later followed by the wine bar and Thursday night was turned into Friday morning...oops.

Something similar happened on Friday night, do you think we need a better hobby?

However, Saturday was My Best Friends daughters 1st Birthday Party. I took along my nephew who enjoyed all the party food way to much! Elsie was gorgeous in her party dress! I won't put all the photos up as i'm sure Amy would like to do a post, but these are some extra cute ones.

Attending my Best Friends daughters 1st Birthday Party made me realise how much we have grown up. I'm sure it was only yesterday we were 16 years old on the same Art Course, wearing far too much eyeliner and talking 'boys'. Time Flies!

Whats the earliest memory of your Best Friend? I would love to hear.
