Weekend Antics

This weekend has been another hectic one. My Niece Lilly's 2nd Birthday Party & my nephew turned 1. They are no longer babies, this makes me sad. Lilly's party was so fun it was an Ugly Bug Ball theme and she loved dressing up and playing games. She was also spoilt rotten.

The rest of the weekend was spent going for meals and spending as much time with Steven as I could. The Army is turning his life upside down at the moment and its my job to take his mind off of it. I am excited for next Saturday as me and Steven are joining his Sister and Partner for the Monopoly Pub Crawl in London. Even though I live here in the UK and have passed through London many, many times I have never seen it properly. Hopefully by next weekend this will change. I will keep you posted.

How was your weekend? Do you have any exciting plans for the rest of Summer?

Thankful Tuesdays

Today I am thankful for this little girl, she makes me smile so much that I actually think we are best mates.

I am also thankful for:
  • Spending quality time with Steven this weekend, me and him with a bottle or two of red. Perfect.

  • Getting a 2.1 for my second year at University
  • The count down to Vfestival and Reading Festival
  • The third Hunger Games book - So addicted right now, yes I know I am a little behind with these book crazes.
  • & lastly I am thankful for some me time, I have finished my second year of University and I am only working part-time. So I have decided I am going to enjoy my summer (as much as the weather allows here in the North West). I have been reading, doing little jobs that I have avoided like, painting my toes nails and love the fact that I am spending quality time with the people around me who I love.
What do you have to be thankful for this week?

Thankful Tuesdays

I have so much to be thankful for that sometimes I just get lost in the moment, I never take the time to reflect upon all the amazing things happening in my life. This is why I have decided to write a weekly blog post about all the things I am thankful for that week.

This Tuesday I am especially thankful for:

I am thankful that we have been able to spend quality time together recently. We just have so much fun and never ever run out of things to say. I am especially thankful that she pointed out where I was going wrong with my eyebrows, so the regrowth is happening for some sexy brows!

  • 3 Sleeps until Steven is home
  • The Sun
  • My new hair cut - it can actually be styled again!
  • Steven - Always
  • Helping young people express themselves through music - so rewarding
  • Memories & Old photos

So much to smile about and say thanks for. What are you thankful for today? Leave me a comment I would love to see why everyone else is smiling :)

Mumford & Sons

So yesterday I went to go see one of my favourite bands, Mumford and Sons. All I have to say is WOW, they are better live than on their album. The weather was miserable but it didn't kill our spirits.

Cannot wait for their new album which is going to be released in September.

Our Little Trip - Liverpool

I had been looking forward to this trip for what seems like weeks and then it went far too fast!

All good days start with a Marks & Spencer's Breakfast.

62 Castle Street

This was our beautiful hotel room (excuse the mess on the first photo). We had booked a double suite but I never thought it would be this big and beautiful, we had our own little balcony which looked out onto Liverpool's City Centre. Defiantly somewhere I would stay again, reasonably priced and in an excellent location to all the shops, bars and restaurant's no taxi's needed.

Museum of Liverpool

Visiting the Museum of Liverpool was something I had to make Steven do as he isn't overly keen, but I am sure he had more fun there than me. It was nice to look at all the different things they had but I really wanted to visit the Titanic Museum - this wasn't the right one! But it was free, so that's okay. It was fun to experience new things than the inside of a bar with Steven and we had loads of fun.

Night Out
We got all dressed up and hit the town, we found a underground gig for singer songwriters. There is nothing better than seeing live acts. We then went to a cheesy 90's bar for a dance and then dropped takeaway down us. Had such a good time and cannot wait for our next adventure.
